Toluwanimi Adepoju

Toluwanimi Adepoju is a biology major and chemistry minor from Lagos, Nigeria, at Howard University. She is on the pre-med track and aspires to become a neurosurgeon/neurooncologist. Her research interests include cancer biology, genetics, and neurology.

For leisure, Tolu enjoys singing, binging film series, and volunteering.

Diana Kutai

Diana Kutai is an honors biology and chemistry double major from Berryville, Virginia. As a member of the 8th cohort of the Karsh STEM Scholars Program, she is committed to pursuing a PhD after graduating from Howard. She is especially interested in research involving pharmacogenomics and drug delivery.
Outside of research, Diana enjoys reading, traveling, and performing in various vocal and instrumental ensembles.

Brianna Harris

Brianna Harris is a biology major and chemistry minor from Woodstock, Georgia by way of St. Louis, Missouri. She is a Karsh Stem Scholar apart of the 6th cohort. Her research interests involve stem cell biology and the regenerative medicine. After graduating, she wants to pursue her PhD and continue research in the field of regenerative medicine.

Her hobbies include hiking, going to concerts and collecting vinyl records.

Elizabeth Roberts

Elizabeth Roberts is from Warwick, New York, a sophomore Health Science major and Chemistry minor attending Howard University. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Warwick Valley High School and is currently on the pre-med track with aspirations of becoming a pediatric dermatologist. She is interested in genetics and microbiology.

In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys cooking, spending quality time with friends and family, and playing the violin, a skill she’s been developing since the 4th grade.

Sydney M. Stewart

Sydney Stewart is an undergraduate chemistry major with minors in mathematics and biology from Columbus, Ohio. She is an LSAMP scholar with a strong interest in synthesizing compounds for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. After graduation, she plans to pursue a Ph.D. in the chemical sciences, aspiring to make advancements in drug formulation and delivery.

Outside of her studies, Sydney enjoys volunteering, cooking, and reading.
