Ella S. West is a Junior Health management major and chemistry minor from Queens, New York. She is a URISE trainee with goals of obtaining her Ph.D. as a biomedical scientist focusing on areas surrounding with cancer cells, drug delivery, and dermatology with a scope on African and African American People. Her current goal is to gain more hands-on knowledge within the laboratory and apply health administration tools to add depth and understanding of disparities to her future research.
Outside of the laboratory and class Ella enjoys biking, playing the sims, and watching horror movies!

Brianna Harris is a biology major and chemistry minor from Woodstock, Georgia by way of St. Louis, Missouri. She is a Karsh Stem Scholar apart of the 6th cohort. Her research interests involve stem cell biology and the regenerative medicine. After graduating, she wants to pursue her PhD and continue research in the field of regenerative medicine.
Her hobbies include hiking, going to concerts and collecting vinyl records.

Nzube Ruth Amaeze is from Nigeria, a Ph.D. student in Dr. Kaur's Lab at the Department of Chemistry, Howard University. Her interested lies in stem cells, biomaterials, and drug delivery.
She completed with a Bachelor of Technology in Chemistry at the Federal University of Technology Owerri, Nigeria. She earned her M.Sc. in pharmaceutical and medicinal chemistry at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Nigeria.
In her free time, she enjoys writing, cooking, and taking photos.

Ms. Julia Sutton is from Houston, Texas, a sophomore biology major with a minor in chemistry attending Howard University. She is currently on a biomedical research track with interests in molecular and cell biology. In 2022, she graduated simultaneously with summa cum laude from Cypress Lakes High School along with an Associate’s Degree of Science from Lone Star Community College. Her hobbies include swimming, water polo, learning about different cultures as well as learning about the intricacies of data science.

Nnenna Nwankwo is a senior Chemical Engineering major at Howard University with a research interest in materials, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. Originally from Bowie, Maryland, she is also a part of the 5th cohort of the Karsh STEM Scholars program. After graduating she plans to pursue her PhD in Material Science and Engineering. Her goal is to leverage her engineering background to drive innovation in biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.

Elizabeth Roberts is from Warwick, New York, a sophomore Health Science major and Chemistry minor attending Howard University. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Warwick Valley High School and is currently on the pre-med track with aspirations of becoming a pediatric dermatologist. She is interested in genetics and microbiology.
In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys cooking, spending quality time with friends and family, and playing the violin, a skill she’s been developing since the 4th grade.
